You are not alone
2014 was a rather challenging year and I can say that, at the time it felt like it was my worst best year at the same time.
I was able to transport these mixed up feelings to my photography work and this is how You Are Not Alone was born.
I traveled to Berlin, London and Porto, while also capturing Amsterdam, where I live, I spotted the same looming feelings on the streets, creating an ephemeral empathy with random subjects. I payed attention to people which seemed to be dwelling in their thoughts, lost in the streets, as if the world had forgotten about them. And even though I shot them, I just wanted to tell them - You are not alone.
